This CPP® Type D (Part D) coupling connects a matching True 1¼″ male Camlock adaptor to equipment or pipework through its 1¼″ BSPP female thread. It allows the Camlock joint to be connected and disconnected while the threaded end remains installed.
Manufactured from glass-filled polypropylene, the coupling includes 304 stainless steel cam arms, rings and pins, together with a polypropylene-based elastomer sealing gasket. Closing both cam arms secures the mating adaptor against the gasket.

Camlock compatibility: Fits matching True 1¼″ male Camlock heads manufactured to EN 14420-7 or US specification A-A-59326.
Choosing the correct size: The 1¼″ measurement refers to the nominal pipe thread size. The Camlock head is True 1¼″; check both connections when selecting the fitting. This is the true 1¼″ Camlock profile; check the head dimensions to distinguish it from products with a 1½″ Camlock head and a 1¼″ hose or thread connection.
Thread specification
BSPT means British Standard Pipe Taper; BSPP means British Standard Pipe Parallel. This product has a 1¼″ BSPP female thread to ISO 228-1. The parallel thread requires an appropriate sealing arrangement for the mating connection.
Pressure ratings — water service
| Temperature | Pressure rating |
|---|---|
| −10°C | 5 bar (approximately 73 psi) |
| 20°C | 6.5 bar (approximately 94 psi) |
| 65°C | 3 bar (approximately 44 psi) |
These ratings apply to CPP® Camlocks in the ½″–2″ size range and are based on water service. They are a guide only; verify suitability by testing under the intended conditions of use and meet applicable health and safety requirements. The complete assembly is limited by its lowest-rated component.
Installation and use
Use a suitable mating thread and sealing arrangement; avoid overtightening plastic threads. The Camlock gasket seals the Camlock joint, not the threaded connection. Check compatibility of the body, gasket and connected components with the liquid and operating temperature. Support attached hoses and pipework to avoid strain on the fitting, and release system pressure before disconnecting.
