This CPP® double-male adaptor joins two matching S60X6 female connections for IBC liquid-transfer assemblies. Both ends are male; it does not screw directly onto a male IBC outlet.
Connections and materials
- Connection 1: S60X6 male buttress.
- Thread size: Nominal 60mm male outside diameter with 6mm pitch.
- Connection 2: S60X6 Male.
- Body material: Glass-filled polypropylene.

Thread specification
S60X6 male buttress, manufactured to the applicable thread dimensions and tolerances of BS EN 12713.
Both connections use the specified S60X6 buttress thread; check the gender and sealing face of each mating component.
Working pressure and testing
Maximum working pressure for IBC applications: 1 bar (approximately 15 psi) at 20°C.
Pressure testing: Tested to 60 psi (approximately 4.1 bar).
These pressures apply to the adaptor only. Follow the IBC tank and valve manufacturer’s operating limits; the adaptor rating does not authorise pressurising the IBC.
Installation Notes
- Check that both receiving fittings have matching S60X6 female threads and suitable seals.
- Ensure all threads, sealing faces and gaskets are clean, undamaged and correctly seated.
- Assemble each mating female connection in accordance with its fitting instructions. Support the connected assembly to avoid bending loads.
Avoid overtightening, which can damage the threads, distort the gasket or cause leakage. Release pressure before disconnecting.
